/ how we pick

200+ sources in. 8 stories out.

Each week we read so you don't have to. The funnel:

200+scanned

Arxiv, GitHub trending, vendor changelogs, niche Discord/Slack communities, 50+ other newsletters, conference talks.

~60shortlisted

Anything that looks more than a press release or a tweet thread gets opened, read, and triaged.

~20read end-to-end

Papers skim-read for the abstract + method. Tools tried, not just bookmarked. Releases checked against the actual changelog.

8shipped

Each with a short editor's note on why it matters. If a week's quiet, you get fewer. We don't pad to hit a number.

/ and then it learns

Then the loop closes. After each issue an automated retro reads which stories the list clicked — in aggregate, never per-reader profiles — and tilts the next week's picks toward what actually got read. First-party only: no third-party trackers, nothing sold or shared.

/ the deal

What's in — what's out.

/ you'll get
  • +Around 8 curated stories per issue. Ads (header banner, inline "Sponsor", classifieds) are clearly marked and do NOT count toward that number.
  • +Editor's note on every story — a short take on why it matters.
  • +Quick "in brief" bullets for the week's smaller news.
  • +Release-notes round-up for tools you already use.
  • +A reply-able human at the other end.
/ you won't get
  • −Daily emails or LinkedIn-thinkfluencer hot takes.
  • −"Top 27 AI tools for productivity!!!" listicles.
  • −Affiliate-link traps disguised as recommendations.
  • −Third-party tracking pixels or cookies, address-list resales.
  • −Three-step "are you sure?" unsubscribe flows.

/ quick answers

Before you subscribe — what you'll ask anyway.

Is it really free?
Yes. Costs are covered by one or two clearly-labelled sponsor slots per issue. Never disguised as content, never tracked across the web.
How often will I hear from you?
Once a week. Fridays around 10am CET. No mid-week blasts, no upsell sequences, no "oh and one more thing".
How is this different from TLDR AI or Ben's Bites?
Those are broad daily aggregators. We're weekly and opinionated — a developer's view on what's actually production-ready vs. demo-ware.
Is this AI-generated?
No. Stories are picked, summarised, and noted by a human (hi, Jarek). LLMs help with first-pass screening only — every piece that ships has been read end-to-end.
